Sound familiar?
1. Someone else is the source of my anger.
2. I raise my voice or use a harsh tone to gain someone’s attention.
3. I engage in non-affectionate touching just to calm someone down.
4. I interrupt others to defend myself.
5. I use name-calling simply as a means of teasing.
The above statements give the illusion of being in control. If these describe your current behavioral style, you may want to consider anger management to learn more about your anger and how you can improve your current lifestyle. We offer individual and group options to suit your particular situation.
Individual sessions provide personalized solutions and strategies to improve your personal/professional relationships and self-regard. Here you will explore your anger one on one with your counselor.
Group sessions are limited to five members per group. Over 12 weeks, we cover managing anger, healthy communication, relationship rehab, and conflict resolution. Members participate in discussion in a small-group setting, providing feedback and giving/receiving support among adults. Group meets Wednesdays 6:30pm-7:15pm.
NEW: Adolescent Anger Management Group for ages 14-17. This group involves a maximum of five adolescents who will participate in discussion in a safe environment. We understand this can be a trying time, and anger may be a reaction to issues involving peers, family, etc. We encourage you to share your experiences so that you can develop positive relationships through giving/receiving support among others similar to you.
